The mission of the Davis Program in ethical leadership is to promote professional, academic and personal integrity within the community of the College of Communications at Penn State University. The program has a special focus on the development of responsibility and integrity among undergraduates in the College as part of their preparation to be the principled leaders of tomorrow’s media institutions.
The program has three major arms, supporting development of professional ethics through the “ethics-across-the-curriculum" initiative, promoting academic integrity among the College’s undergraduates, and offering resources and support to faculty, staff and friends of the College in their efforts to advance integrity and responsibility across the field. Descriptions, calendars, associated links, as well as relevant University policies for each of these efforts can be found through the following pages:

This program was founded in 2005 through the generous support of Don Davis, Jr., a 1942 graduate of the School of Journalism and the retired chairman and CEO of Stanley Works. His father, Donald W. Davis, Sr., founded the advertising program at Penn State in 1936.
